As your local, not-for-profit utility, we are dedicated to supporting our community. If you have fallen behind on your utility bills, we can help by reducing your outstanding balance by 25%!
This is possible because Sturgeon Bay Utilities recently received a grant from the Door County Community Foundation, establishing the Sturgeon Bay Utility Relief Fund to assist customers impacted by the pandemic.
To apply, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Complete the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP) application to confirm eligibility. If approved, Sturgeon Bay Utilities will use the Utility Relief Funds to credit 25% of your total outstanding balance!
-
Visit homeenergyplus.wi.gov or call (920) 746-7155, option 1 for eligibility and program details.
Step 2: If you are ineligible for WHEAP assistance, you can still participate and reduce your total balance by 25% if you meet the following criteria:
- Gross monthly income does not exceed 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (see below).
- The Utility bill relates to your primary residence as owner or tenant.
