Sturgeon Bay Utilities celebrates Public Power Week October 5-11, 2008 (9/23/08)
“Public Power Week honors Sturgeon Bay Utilities hometown service, resulting in reliable, affordable electricity for our community,” said Jim Stawicki, General Manager of Sturgeon Bay Utilities. Public Power Week is a national, annual event sponsored in conjunction with the American Public Power Association (APPA), the national service organization for community and state-owned electric utilities in Washington, D.C. Public Power Week supports the ongoing theme “Public Power: An American Tradition that Works.” This year marks the 22nd anniversary of Public Power Week as a country-wide program for local citizens and other key publics, including state and national officials. Sturgeon Bay Utilities invites community members to participate in a variety of Public Power Week events. Activities include:
