Being part of the community we serve is a role that Sturgeon Bay Utilities takes seriously. As a utility, we work hard to be an active participant by lending a hand in community service projects and offering various educational programs.

We have pledged a strong commitment to, not only our customers, but to our community. Through a number of civic-minded activities, Sturgeon Bay Utilities has fostered strong relationships that help further our connection to the community.

The following are just a few examples of our involvement in the community.

  • Install and maintain holiday lighting - The utility stores and maintains the communities holiday decorations. Each season, the utility crews install the lighting displays on the street lights throughout the community. We also use bucket trucks to put the trimmings on the City’s Christmas tree.
  • Install temporary services - The utility installs temporary power for many events held for the City of Sturgeon Bay, such as the Sturgeon Bay Art Fair, Jefferson Street Festival, Sidewalk Days, Harvest Festival, and various fishing tournaments. Please visit the Sturgeon Bay Visitor & Convention Bureau for a complete list of this years community events.
  • Promote Community Events - The utility uses the bucket truck to hang banners to help with the advertisement of community events.
